Dear Friends,
It is a great honor for me to host & welcome the esteemed faculty and delegates for the 16th Conference of Cancer Care India being organized under the patronage of His Holiness Sri Sri Ravishankar at Art of Living International Centre, Bangalore from 7th to 9th December 2018.
I am grateful to Gurudev, CACI leadership & members for having entrusted me to shoulder this huge responsibility. I am also grateful to Dr. H. R. Nagendra, President S-Vyasa for joining the program, his kind help & guidance whenever I needed.
Scientific program has been designed with an objective of mutual learning from the rich experience from participating stakeholders – NGO leadership, Volunteers, Leading National, International Oncology Experts, Researcher, Palliative Cancer Experts, CSR Leadership and Pharma professionals to identify the needs and address the gaps together as a team.
There is further need to join hands in the Fight against Cancer by Collaborative Advocacy work at National level & with International bodies for Cancer Prevention, Screening for Early Diagnosis, and Timely Diagnosis by Avoiding Delay in reporting or Wrong Diagnosis, Improving Access to Care by making Cancer Care at District Level & deeper, Complete treatment with breaks or delays and Palliative Care.
I am Grateful to the leadership of Professional Bodies of Healthcare Providers, Government bodies & Non-Governmental organizations working for Cancer to come together to this conference for discussions of the challenges and finding out possible solutions.
I am thankful to so many people who have inspired me to come on this path and help me in last more than 2 decades. I may not be able to mention all names but I acknowledge their contribution in shaping me & my work.
